The Photographic Design program is collecting new sleepers or pajamas for all size children (infant – youth size 14/16) living at “A Safe Place”, an organization that provides shelter for victims, and children, of domestic violence. The Cosmetology program is asking for everyone to collect aluminum pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Memorial Hospital. Pop tops can be dropped off in the front office and placed in the marked container. Collected pop tabs are recycled, generating much-needed funds to support the House and the nearly 1,900 families served each year. Your pop top donations are greatly appreciated.

On October 13, 2011, forty Tech Campus Criminal Justice students accepted an invitation by the Illinois National Guard to compete in their Law Enforcement Challenge. This was our first time competing in this yearly competition among Criminal Justice programs from across Northern Illinois. This competition measures performance in fitness, as well as room search / clearing, and hostage rescue scenarios which are components of our Introduction to policing curriculum. Our students availed themselves proudly and competently, earning fourth place out of nine teams.
