Parent Orientations are an integral component to many of the Tech Campus programs. These sessions allow instructors to explain to parents the specific guidelines and procedures of their program, and to answer questions parents may have about certifications, competitions, grading/attendance, and requirements for state board exams. This year’s Program Parent Orientations have been held in our Cosmetology, Certified Nurse Assisting, Early Childhood Education, and Culinary Arts Programs with additional program orientations scheduled throughout the first semester.
The Tech Campus’ Automotive Collision Repair program is the first secondary training program in the Midwest with Virtual Reality Paint Training! We just received the virtual paint trainers and Mr. Cizowski, our instructor, as well as CLC instructors received training on their use. Mr. Cizowski stated that he had a lot to learn about their use but was excited to integrate them into the program. Students have begun experimenting with the trainers and were very excited to be able to have their “skills” evaluated in this manner. These trainers were purchased through the joint Program of Study grant with CLC.
